Field-Worker

Auf Feldern wird ausgesät und geerntet. Felder kann man auch brach lassen. Felder sind Energiezentren. Von dort aus entwickelt Sebastian Strinning seine Musik. „Kerrin“ nennt der Saxophonist und Bassklarinettist sein Soloalbum, was auf gälisch „Feld“, „Viereck“, „Scheibe“ bedeutet. Strinning steht mittendrin. Klar umrissene Einheiten, in denen es rumort und transformiert. Der Musiker pflanzt sein Horn und lässt es wachsen. Orchideen! Windgräser! Akazien! Urwälder! Die raue Schönheit dieser Tracks macht die Welt spürbarer. Die Improvisationen haben einen klaren Instinkt, der einen umhauen kann. Strinning gibt den Eruptionen und klanglichen Verwandlungen eine Richtung, weitet Dimensionen, aber steht mit beiden Beinen auf dem Boden. Mitten im Feld. Im Energiefeld.
